Wherever you are on this planet, I invite you to take ACTION, stand up for our beautiful planet and let it know that YOU care.
ONE SMALL ACT OF KINDNESS is all it takes to start something GREAT for our planet, for our future, for harmony and for hope. You’ll be surprised what you find out there that has been carelessly discarded.
I will be uploading photos of my treasures regularly so watch this space…

To me, nothing beats the feeling of pure freedom, being lost, confused, challenged and the sheer adventure of being somewhere you’ve never been before.

I’ve also been lucky enough to travel to places such as USA, Malaysia, Vanuatu, New Zealand and Canada and have had my eyes opened to a bigger world full of beauty, diversity and culture. I love getting an insight into how people are living their day-to-day lives - it’s always a humbling experience.

The one thing that always astounds and upsets me though is the seemingly large percentage of the world that is STILL unconcerned and not participating in the preservation of our beautiful planet. No matter where I have gone in life, no matter the location or how remote, I am always saddened to see evidence of humans in the form of rubbish.

TRASH. GARBAGE. LITTER. RUBBISH. Call it what you want - I am SICK of it. Rubbish on beautiful beaches, trash in gardens, litter in the ocean - it breaks my heart. Each piece represents ONE CARELESS ACT from ONE CARELESS PERSON.

Everywhere I go, I pick up litter. Be in one piece, 10 pieces or a whole bag full. Not only do I feel better about myself, the environment I am in and the nature I have helped protect, but I have a small hope that the people around me might witness my act of kindness for mother nature and be inspired to do the same.

So. My purpose is this.

From this day on I pledge to pick up trash EVERYDAY and share with you the UGLIEST, STRANGEST, MOST INTERESTING and UNEXPECTED things I find out there in the world. Over the years I have found jewellery, backpacks, journals, trinkets, toys, letters and many other cool and unusual things!

I invite YOU to join me on my quest and take ONE SMALL STEP for mother nature, and share with me the interesting discarded treasures you find along the way.

Wherever you are on this planet, I invite you to take action, stand up for our beautiful planet and let it know that YOU care. One Small Act of Kindness is all it takes to start something GREAT.

To start things off, I’d like to share a photo of a discarded treasure. I found this toy horse half buried in the sand while walking along the beach at Victor Harbor, in South Australia. Along with the other garbage I picked up that day, I was happy to take it off the beach, where it did not belong. A cute little find!

If you have found something cute, pretty, quirky in your quest to help mother nature, please share it with me - I’d love to see it! Click on Share Your Treasure to participate.
